tightly stretched and tied from the top of a vertical
pole to the ground. Find the height of the pole, if
the angle made by the rope with the ground level is

Let the height of the pole be x m

then,

sin 30 = length of rope / height of pole.

sin 30 = 20 / x

1 / 2 = 20/x

thus ,

x = 40 m

height of the pole = 40 m
