The ratio of their volumes is 1:1
• Given data :
Radius of the cylinder = Radius of the cone
Height of the cone = 3 × Height of cylinder
• Let,the radius of cylinder and cone = r
And, height of the cylinder = h
• So,the height of the cone = 3×h = 3h
• Base area of the cylinder = πr²
• Now,the volume of cylinder
= πr²×h
= πr²h
• Now,the volume of cone
= 1/3 × π × r² × 3h
= πr²h
• So,the ratio of their volumes
= Volume of cone : Volume of cylinder
= πr²h : πr²h
= 1:1
So,the ratio is 1:1 (answer).
