Given :-

  • A Cubiod has dimensions of 28 cm x 14cm x 70cm. Small cubes with each side 14cm can be placed in the given cuboid.

To find :-

  • How many small chbes with each side 14cm can be placed in the given cuboid ?

Solution :-

  • Length of cuboid = 28 cm

  • Breadth of cuboid = 14cm

  • Height of cuboid = 70cm

As we know that

→ Volume of cuboid = l × b × h

Where " l " is length, " b " is breadth and " h " is height of cuboid.

According to the given condition

→ Volume of cuboid

→ l × b × h

→ 28 × 14 × 70

→ 28 × 980

→ 27440 cm³

Now volume of a small cube

  • Edge of cube = 14 cm

→ a³

→ (14)³

→ 2744cm³

Number of small cubes can be placed in the given cuboid.

→ Volume of cuboid/volume of cube

→ 27440/2744

→ 10

Hence,

  • Number of small cubes can be placed in the given cuboid is 10

Given:

  • The measures of cuboid= 28cm× 14cm × 70cm
  • The side of cube = 14cm

━━━━━━━━━━━━

Need to find :

  • The number of cubes that can be placed inside the cuboid=?

━━━━━━━━━━━━

Solution:

The volume of the cuboid:

= length × breadth × height

= 28cm × 14cm × 70cm

= \purple{\bold{\boxed{27440 {cm}^{3}}}}

━━━━━━━━━━━━

The volume of each cube:

= side × side × side

= 14 cm× 14cm ×14cm

= \purple{\bold{\boxed{2744 {cm}^{3}}}}

━━━━━━━━━━━━

Number of cubes that can be placed inside the cuboid:

= 27440 ÷ 2744

= \red{\bold{\boxed{\boxed{\large{10}}}}}
