Explanation:-

R = 100 m

t = 4 minutes

To find :-

It's average speed and velocity.

Solution:-

As , The particles moves in the circular path.

So, Distance covers in one revolution is S = 2 \pi r

 S =2 \times \dfrac{314}{100}\times 100

 S =2 \times 314

 S = 628 m

Average speed of cyclists will be :-

 A_v =\dfrac{\text{Total distance travelled}}{\text{Total time taken }}

 A_v = \dfrac{100}{4}

 A_v= 25 m /min

Average speed of cyclists is 25 m/min.

Average velocity is defined as the total displacement covered by the particle to total time taken.

As displacement covered by particle is 0.

hence,

Average velocity will be 0.
