1. A detergent bar is of thickness 1.3 cm. If the height of a stack of bars is 58.5 cm, how many detergent bars are in the stack?

2. Lace is to be stitched on a table cloth of length 1.9 m and width 140 cm. What length of lace will be required for stitching around all four sides of the table cloth?

3. A painting of length 70 cm is to be hung on a wall of length 9 m exactly in the middle. Where should the nail be put to hang the painting?​

1. thickness of the one bar = 1.3cm

height of stack of bars = 58.5cm

no. of detergent bars = 58.5/1.3 = 45 bars

2. lace to be stitched on the edges of the table cloth i.e. perimeter of the table cloth.

length = 1.9m = 190cm

width = 140cm

perimeter = 2(190+140) = 660cm

3. length of the wall = 9m

the nail should be put at 5m
