Probability is essentially, a term used to define, "chances", which can be applied to anywhere.

In a die's case, when we are to keep in mind, the chances, of any one number's coming, we usually view 6 chances, derived from the numbers. A die has 6 faces, each engraved, with any number from 1-6. 6 essentially represents 1, on a probability scale of of 0-1, since it is of course, apparent, and confirm, that any number out of 6, will be attained upon rolling a die.

Here, we have to find the "probability of even numbers", which can be determined, by its only chances/total chances(upon getting a number).

If only even numbers were to be seen, then we will only include the numbers, which fall upon being even, out of all the numbers, included in the set of 1-6(1,2,3,4,5,6). The set of even numbers would accordingly be:

Even numbers=(2,4,6)

So, now we have 3 chances of getting an even number, out of 6 total chances. We can show this through a ratio;

3:6

Further using this ratio we can find the answer to the question, through the following working:

3/6

=1/2

=0.5

= "Even chance"

Since on a scale of 0 to 1, 0.5 indicates a 50/50, or a balanced probability.

Hope it helped. :)
