Step-by-step explanation:

LET THE AGE OF FATHER BE X

LET THE AGE OF SON BE Y

ACCORDING TO THE QUESTION ,

Y=X+25---------------------------eq¹

After 8 years.....

Age of father will be x+8

Age of son will be x+25+8 = x+33

The ratio of their ages is,

x+8/x+33 = 13/8

8(x+8) = 13(x+33)

8x+64 = 13x + 429

13x-8x = 429-64

5x = 365

x = 365/5 = 73

Now put x = 73 in eq¹

y = x+25

y = 73 + 25

y = 98

THEREFORE , AGE OF FATHER IS 98 AND AGE OF SON IS 73
