1. A force of 5 N produces an acceleration of
8 m/s2 on a mass my and an acceleration of
24 m/s2 on a mass m2. Find the acceleration
that the same force would provide if both
the masses are tied together.

Answer:

6m/s2. is the answer

Explanation:

F= ma

5=m1×8

m1=5/8

similar way

5=m2×24

m2= 5/24

m1+m2= 5/8+5/24

= 20/24

=0.83333

so now we have to find net acceleration when both Mass are tied

which is again given by same formula

5=20/24×a

120=20×a

a=6.

therefore required acceleration is 6 m/s2

Hope you got it
