1. A horse runs a distance of 500 m in 30 s. What is the speed of the horse in a) m/s b) km/h? ​

a) Speed = Distance/Time

= 500/30 m/s

= 50/3 m/s

= 16 2/3

= 16.67 approximately

b) Speed = Distance/Time

= 500×1000/30×60

= 5000/18

= 277 7/9

= 2.78 approximately
