Answer:

White Eraser = 12

White Eraser Price = 60 Paise

Step-by-step explanation:

A man bought 19 erasers for Rs. 10. He paid 20 paise more for each white eraser than for each

brown eraser. What could be the price of a white eraser and how many white erasers could he have

bought?

Let say White Eraser Price  =  W Paise

Then Brown erase Price = W - 20 Paise

Let say he bougth  White Eraser = E

then He bought  19 - E   brown Erasers

EW  + (W -20)(19-E) = 10 * 100

=> EW - EW + 20E + 19W - 380 = 1000

=> 20E + 19W = 1380

=> 19W = 20(69 -  E)

Using Hit & Trial Method Where E < 19

E = 12  & W = 60

White Eraser = 12

White Eraser Price = 60 Paise
