1) A motor car of mass 1200kg is moving along a straight line with a uniform velocity of
90km/hr. Its velocity is slowed down to 18km/hr in 4s by an unbalanced external force.
Calculate the acceleration and change in momentum. Also calculate the force required.

U first need to convert km/hr into m/s by multiply it with 5/18

therefore....v=25m/s

.... u = 5m/s

1).... v = u + at

25 = 5 + a(4)

20 = 4a

a = 5 m/s square

2)...... Change in momentum...

P = m(v-u)

= 1200(25-5)

=1200(20)

= 24000 kgm/s

3) ......F = ma

= 1200*5

= 6000 N.....
