★ The mass of thee motorbike is 200 kg

★ The motor bike moves with a velocity of  40 m/s.

★ What will be thee kinetic energy of the motor bike.

☀️ Concept : here we have been provided with the mass of the motor bike which is 200kg and the velocity of the motor bike which is 40 m/s both of them in the terms of system international (S.I Units) and we are asked to find the kinetic energy of the motorbike.

❍ Now let's find the kinetic energy of the motorbike using suitable formulae as per thee given terms and substituting the above given values of mass and acceleration in the formula.

✪ Formula to find the kinetic energy of an object is :

\tt KE = \dfrac{1}{2} \times MV^{2}

{\large{\underline{\pmb{\sf{Solution...}}}}}

★ The kinetic energy of the object is 1,60,000 joules.

{\large{\underline{\pmb{\sf{Full \; Solution...}}}}}

~As we have to calculate the kinetic energy of the motorbike which is energy possessed by the body due to motion let's use the formula mention below

Formula :

\tt KE = \dfrac{1}{2} \times MV^{2}

Where,

  • KE denotes kinetic energy
  • M denotes mass
  • V denotes velocity

Here,

  • Mass = 200 kg
  • Velocity = 40 m/s

~ Now let's substitute the following values in the formula.

➟ KE = 1/2 MV^2

➟ KE = 1/2 × 200 × 40 × 40

➟ KE = 200 × 40 × 40 / 2

➟ KE = 200 × 1600 / 2

➟ KE =  320000 / 2

➟ KE = 160000 J

  • Henceforth the kinetic energy  of the motorbike is 160000 joules

Given:

A motorbike of mass 200 kg is moving with a velocity of 40 m/s.

To find:

Kinetic energy of the object?

Calculation:

Kinetic energy is a sub-type of mechanical energy possessed by an object by the virtue of its motion.

  • Let mass be m , velocity be v.

 \rm \therefore \: KE =  \dfrac{1}{2} m {v}^{2}

 \rm \implies \: KE =  \dfrac{1}{2} \times 200 \times  {(40)}^{2}

 \rm \implies \: KE =  \dfrac{1}{2} \times 200 \times  1600

 \rm \implies \: KE =  160000 \: joule

 \rm \implies \: KE =  160\: kilojoule

So, kinetic energy of bike is 160 kJ.
