Answer:

Given,

u=0

a=3

t=8

formula applied=s=ut+1/2at^2

s=0×8+1/2×3×8^2

=0+3×32

=96m

Given:-

A motor starting from rest on a lake acclerates in a straight line at a constant rate of 3,0m for 8s

To Find:-

The displacement of the motorboat

Method Used:-

First we should find the displacement of the motorboat which acclerates in a straight line

Solution:-

Acceleration=30m/s

Time=8s

Displacement= ut+1/2at²

s= 1/2at²

s= 1/2×30×64

s= 15×64

s= 969 m/s

Conclusion:-

As the motor boat is traveling is from the initial point ,So the initial velocity is zero
