Answer:
Today I would take the opportunity to talk about the democracy in India and media responsibility.
Content:
India is a democratic state which gives people the basic rights which also includes the right to express. Freedom of expression is a basic right which is given to the people of India. Media is open to discuss any social, political or economic aspect of the country. It has been given the right to oppose and criticise the government as well as the society.
However, what we forget is that where there are rights there are responsibilities. Media avails the right to express but does not fulfill the responsibility to provide proper content. In case of news casting, news has become more dramatic and sensationalised. News has more music and drama than a film.
The media has become a growing industry which has forgotten that it is a responsibility to cover things that affect the society e.g awareness on natural disasters and precaution for diseases etc.
Conclusion:
In order to become a integrated country it is important that all sectors of the society play their role in the development of the country. It is important that everyone fulfills their responsibility.
