(i)What would be the displacement and distance travelled when the particle completes half a circle?

(ii)What would be the displacement and distance travelled when the particle completes one complete

Answer:

i) Distance = 2πr/2 = πr as it has moved half a circle

Displacement = r + r = 2r as the shortest Distance between those 2 points is the diameter

ii) Distance = 2πr as it has covered a circle's perimeter

Displacement = 0 as it has returned to its starting point
