2. 2. An observer standing between 2 parallel cliffs emits an intense sound note. Two successive

echoes are then heard after 5s and 7s .Calculate the distance between the cliffs (velocity of

sound =340m/s)


3. A metre rod is balanced about a sharp knife edge placed at 0.6m mark. Two weights 0.02kg

and 0.08kg suspended from 0.4m and 0.7m mark make the beam horizontal .Find the weight

of the metre rod .


4. The displacement- distance graph (displacement in cm and distance in m) of a wave is shown

below .If the velocity of the wave is r/s. Find the frequency of the wave.
