1. A rain barrel contained 4 litres of water just before a thunder storm. It rained steadily for 8 hours, filling the barrel at a rate of 6 litres per day. How many litres of water did the barrel have after the thunder storm?
(note 8 hours is 1/3 of a day)​

Add the 2 litre from thunderstorm on to the original amount in the barrel,4 litre

=2+4

= 6 litre

∴6 litres of water did the barrel have after the thunderstorm.
