Given : A random sample of 10 students in a Statistics class got a mean score of 78% with a standard deviation of 7% and a mean weight of 105 pounds with a standard deviation of 10 pounds.

To Find : the coefficient of variation.

Solution:

Coefficient of Variation = (Standard deviation /Mean) * 100 %

mean score of 78% with a standard deviation of 7%

=> Coefficient of Variation = (7/78) * 100 = 8.97 %

mean weight of 105 pounds with a standard deviation of 10 pounds.

Coefficient of Variation =  (10/105) * 100 = 9.52 %

Coefficient of Variation  of Score =  8.97 %

Coefficient of Variation  of   weight = 9.52 %
