Answer:-

Given:

Initial Velocity (u) = 0 m/s ( the scooter starts from rest)

Final Velocity (v) = 36 km/h

1 km/h = 5/18 m/s

→ v = 36 * 5/18

→ v = 10 m/s

Time taken (t) = 10 s

We know that,

acceleration (a) = (v - u) / t

→ a = (10 - 0) / 10

→ a = 10/10

→ a = 1 m/s²

Therefore, the acceleration of the scooter is 1 m/.

Additional Information:-

Acceleration:

  • Acceleration is the rate of change of Velocity with respect to time.

  • a = Final velocity - initial Velocity/time

  • It's S.I unit is m/ and C.G.S unit is cm/.

  • It is a vector quantity (has both direction and magnitude).

  • It depends on two physical quantities Velocity, time.

Given :-

  • Initial Velocity = 0m/s.

  • Final Velocity = 36km/h = 10m/s.

  • Time = 10 Seconds.

To Find :-

  • Acceleration Of Scooter.

Solution :-

We will use First Equation Of Motion.

v = u + at.

Put the values.

➛10 = 0 + 10a.

➛10a = 10.

➛a = 10/10.

➛a = 1m/s²

Hence, Acceleration = 1m/s².
