1) A shed with a pent roof needs to have some new roof beams fitted. The width of the shed is 5m and the height of the pent roof is 1.3m. Work out the length of the roof beams needed to 1dp.

Length² = Wdith² + Height²

Length² = 5² + 1.3²

Length² = 25 + 1.69

Length² = 26.69

Lenth = 5.167 m

Therefore, the length of the roof beams needed is 5.167 m
