Answer:

Given :  A shop gives 20% discount.

To Find : What would the sale price of each of these be?

Solution:

(a) A dress marked at 120Rs

CP of dress = Rs.120

Discount % = 20%

Discount price = \frac{20}{100} \times 120 =24

Discounted price =  Rs.120 - Rs.24 =Rs.96

So, the sale price is Rs.96

(b) A bag marked at 250Rs .

CP of Bag = Rs.250

Discount % = 20%

Discount price = \frac{20}{100} \times 250 =50

Discounted price =  Rs.250 - Rs.50 =Rs.200

So, the sale price is Rs.200
