As we know that area of square is:

Side \sf{×}Side

Now,

simply we will find the area of the square.

Area of square = Side × Side

= 50 × 50

= \sf{2500 {m}^{2}}

To find the area of the path we have to find the area of the inner square.

So for that what we have to do it is to find the side of the inner sqare

50 - 2.5 - 2.5 = 45m

Now, again that method-

Area of inner square = Side × Side

= 45 × 45

= 2025m

So, area of inner square is 2025m

The question is to find the area of path.

For that we have to remove the area of inner square from the whole square.

Outer square - inner square = Path

= 2500 - 2025

= \sf{475{m}^{2}}
