1. A student, while making a circuit to make a bulb glow using a dry cell, connected the plastic covering of the wire to the cell, instead of the metal wire inside it. Will the bulb glow? Why?​

Answer:

No, the current will not flow in circuit. Because, current only flows from a conductor when the conductor has sufficient amount of free electrons. Wire is used to conduct electricity but the plastic covering being a insulator is used for protection so plastic will not conduct electricity.
