x+y = 1250.............................(1)
x+450 = y .............................(2)
(2) in (1) we get
x + ( x + 450 ) = 1250
2x + 450 = 1250
2x = 1250 - 450
2x = 800
x = 400
y = x+450
= 400 + 450
y = 850
Therefore the price of the table is 850 rs
the price of the chair is 400 rs
