1. A tank can hold 50 lit of water. At present, it is only 30 % full. How many lit of water shall I put in the tank, so that it is 50 % full?

2.(i) Find Percentage increase in the runs scored by Sanjit when he scored 60 runs in the previous
match and 80 runs in the next match.
(ii) Find percentage decrease when speed of the car decreased to 80 kmph from 120 kmph.

1) 30% of water =x

   (30/100)*50 =x

    x=15

50% of water =x

(50/100)* 50 =x

 x=25

water needed =>  x+15 =25

                              x=10 .

2) (i) x% of 60 =20               ( since 80-20 =60)

        (x/100)* 60=20

          x=33.3

   (ii)  x% of 120 =40               ( since 120-80=40)

        (x/100)*120 =40

         x=33.3
