Answer:

A is the point which is 20 m away from the foot of the tower.

Therefore AB = 20m

BC is the height of the tower.

Angle of elevation = 60 degree

Height of tower = ?

In triangle ABC,

Angle CAB = 60 degree

Therefore,

tan 60 degree =

Opposite Side/Adjacent Side

Root 3 = BC/AB

Root 3 = BC/20

BC = 20 × Root 3

BC = 20 × 1.732

Therefore,

BC = 34.64
