1. A tree is broken at a height of 6 m from the ground and its top touches the ground
at a distance of 8 m from the base of tree. Find the original height of the tree.

By Pythagorean’s theorem
H^2= b^2 + p^2
Highly of tree = 64 + 36
Underroot 100
10
So original highly of tree = 10 + 8
= 18

x² = 6² + 8²

x = (36 + 64)

x = (100) = 10m

Original height

= x + 6m

= 16m
