1.A vertical pole stands on the level ground. From a point on
the ground, 25 m away from the foot of the pole, the angle of
elevation of its top is found to be 60°. Find the height of the pole.

AB = 10 metre

In△ABE

tan30∘=ABBE

13–√=ABBE=AB:BE=1:3–√.....(i)

In△ACD

tan60∘=CDAD

3–√1=CDAD=CD:AD=3–√:1.....(ii)

AD = BE and AB = DE

Now,

CE = CD + DE

= 30 + 10 = 40 metre
