less: idle time 10% of 480 = 48
now less 480-48= 432 ( actual time labour took)
time per unit = 432/40 ( as 40 is given as number of units produced)
= 10.8 min
performance rate =80%
therefore performance rate per unit would be
10.8×80/100 = 8.64 min
now add allowance time = 8.64 × 10/100= .864
so standard time = 8.64+ .864 = 9.504 min
