given that

ab = 8cm

and ac = 10cm

let be x

therefore by Pythagoras theorem

10²= 8²+x²

=> x² = 10²- 8²

=> x² = 100 - 64

=> x² = 36

=> x = √36

=> x = 6

hence, x = 6

Answer:

6

Step-by-step explanation:

Using Pythagoras Theorem we will find our answer

(AB^2) + (BC^2) = (AC^2)

(8^2)+(BC^2) = (10^2)

64+ BC^2= 100

BC^2= 100-64

BC^2=36

BC= √36

BC=6
