intersect at O. prove that ar(ΔAOD) = ar(ΔBOC).

We know that triangle between same base and lie between the same parallel are equal in area

ar(ACD)=ar(BDC)
ar(AOD)+ar(DOC)=ar(BOC)+ar(DOC)
ar(AOD)=ar(BOC)
