It is the period of life between the onset of puberty and reaching adulthood, that is, the period that leads to reproductive maturity. Both boys and girls attain mental and emotional maturity. Brain is active and brain has capability of learning more. At this stage adolescents should say no to drugs as they have many ill-effects on them. Drug abuse is a sort of addiction which causes relapsing brain diseases which change the structure and function of the brain. Drug abuse induces following symptoms in the body: *Mental disorder with anxiety and depression. *Traumatic experience *Inability to think and remember things. *Risky attitude, neglecting responsibilities. *Infections, mood swings *Tremors, slurred speech *Bad smell from the body. *Frequent hangouts. *Lethargic and irritability *Lack of motivation.
