Answer: (a) 1161.75 km

               (b) 55 litres

Step-by-step explanation:

(a) Distance covered in 11 litres of diesel = 852 km

∴Distance covered in 1 litre of diesel = \frac{852}{11} km = 77.45 km

∴Distance covered in 15 litres of diesel =

15 x (distance covered in 1 litre of diesel) = 15 x 77.45

                                                                    = 1161.75 km

(b) Amount of diesel required to travel 852 km = 11 litres

∴ Amount of diesel required to travel 1 km = \frac{11}{852} litres

∴ Amount of diesel required to travel 4260 km

= 4260 x (Amount of diesel required to travel 1 km)

= \frac{4260 * 11}{852} = 55 litres

Pls mark it as the brainliest if it helps you
