1. An athlete completes one round of a circular track of diameter

Diameter of the circular track= 200m

Radius = 100 m

Time taken to complete one round= 40 seconds.

Time=2 minutes 20 seconds = 140 seconds

Distance= (?)

Displacement= (?)

Distance travelled in 140 seconds= 140/40 = 3.5 rounds = 2πr × 3.5 = 2 * 22/7 * 100 * 3.5 = 2200 m.

At the end of 3.5 rounds, the athlete will be in diametrically opposite direction i.e. his displacement will be equal to the diameter = 200 m .
