Answer:

Now, it is given that the time taken to complete one round of the circular track by the athlete = 40s. Thus, the speed of the athlete $=\dfrac{200\pi}{40}=5\pi$ m/s. Therefore, in 2 min 20s or 140s, the distance travelled by the athlete will be $=5\pi \times 140=700\pi$ m.

Answer:

In 40 s the athelete cover -200m/2 = 100m r

thus the distance cover by the body on 2min, 20s .= 140s

circumference of circle = 2πr

in one round the athelete takes 40 s thus in 140 s thus, rounds taken by the athlete in 140s = 3.5 rounds .

The distance covered by the body is-

circumference of circle = 2πr × no. of rounds .

2×22/7×100×35/10

2200m/s .

Displacement of the body is zero .

the shortest distance of the body , that is diameter 100-100= 0
