Minimum  distance traveled by the insect = 110  cm    if insect recahes at top of pole with 14 cm Diameter & 66 cm height in 2 spirals

Step-by-step explanation:

cylindrical Pole of Diameter = 14 cm

=> Radius = 7 cm

=> circumference of Cylindrical Pole = 2 π R

π = 22/7   , R = 7 cm

=> circumference of Cylindrical Pole =  2 * (22/7) * 7

= 44 cm

Height = 66 cm

Took 2 Spirals  => Height of Each Spiral = 66/2  = 33 cm

Distance traveled by insect = 2 * √( (circumference)² + ( Height/2)²)

= 2  * √( ( 44)² + 33²)

=  2 * 11 √16 + 9

= 2 * 11 √25

= 2 * 11 * 5

= 110 cm

Minimum  distance traveled by the insect = 110  cm
