1) An object of mass 40 kg is raised to a height of 5m above the ground what is its potential energy if the object is allowed to fall find its kinetic energy when it is half way down.​

Potential energy = mgh

= 40×10×5

= 2000joule

at heightest point h = 5m , velocity u = 0

half way down = 2.5m

from 3rd equation of NLM,

v² = u²+2as

v² = 0 +2×10×2.5

v² = 50m/sec

Explanation:

so, kinetic energy on its half way = (1/2)mv²

= (1/2)×40×50

= 1000joule answer
