1. An object thrown vertically upwards
reaches a height of 500 m. What was
its initial velocity? How long will the
object take to come back to the
earth? Assume g = 10 m/s2​

Answer:

Using a formula for projectile motion of Time of flight is

t =  \sqrt{2h \div g}

In the vertical direction take a=g

According to formula.

t = \sqrt{2 \times 500 \div 10}

 =  \sqrt{1000 \div 10}

 =  \sqrt{100}

t = 10s

Therefore object will take 10s to come back to the Earth.
