a) sine of θ = side opposite to angle / hypotenuse
b) cosine of θ = side adjacent to angle / hypotenuse
c) tangent of θ = side opposite to angle / side adjacent to angle
d) sec of θ =  hypotenuse / side opposite to angle
e) cosec of θ = hypotenuse / side adjacent to angle
f) cotan of θ = side adjacent to angle / side opposite to angle
