To find whether the following are in proportion or not.We are suppose to use the formula..(Product of extreme terms =product of mean terms).

(i)16,18,8,9

Extreme terms =16 and 9

Mean terms =18 and 8

So,

16x9=18x8

144=144

All the terms are in proportion bcoz product of mean terms and extreme terms is same..

Important :The first and last terms are extreme terms...and the middle ones are mean terms..

Now you can solve all parts following the same methods...
