Both Assertion (A) and Reason (R) is correct but Reason is not the correct explanation of Assertion.

• Esterification is a process in which ester , a sweet smelling substance, is formed by a chemical reaction.

• Reason is just an example of chemical reaction of ester. It has no contribution in formation of ester or in process of esterification.
