AO is equal to 5, and BO is also equal to 5. Because the radius of larger circle is 5cm. Now, Applying Pythagoras theorem in both the triangles, we get :

5^2=AO^2+3^2 (OP=3cm).

25-9=AO^2

√16=AO

So, AO is 4cm.

Similarly, OB=4cm.

Therefore, adding AO and BO , we get :

AO+BO=4+4=8.

Therefore, AB chord is 8cm.
