1) Audible range of human ear is 20 Hz to 20 kilo Hz . Convert this into corresponding wavelength range speed of sound at ordinary range is 340 m/s.

2) A tuning fork having a frequency of Hz emits a wave which has a wavelength 1.35 m . Find the speed of sound in air.

(1)We Know That ,
Speed Of Sound = Frequency × Wavelength
For Lower Limit :
Let the wavelength be λ(l )
340=20×λ(l)
λ=340÷20 = 17m
For Upper Limit :
Let the wavelength be λ(u)
340=λ×20000
λ=340/20000 =  0.017m
So the audible wavelengths are : 17m - 0.017m
(2) We know that :
Speed Of Sound = Frequency × Wavelength
If frequency =Hz and Wavelength = 1.35m
∴Speed = 1.35Hz m/s
