here is the answer:

4Al + 3O2 --> 2Al2O3

option (a) is correct.

but how?

we have this equation:
◆ Al + O2 -- > Al2O3

we will multiply O2 on LHS by 3 so as to get 6 molecules of oxygen.
also we are going to multiply Al2O3 by 2 so as to get 6 molecules of oxygen.

we see that while multiplying Al2O3 by 2 we get 2Al2 which is 4 molecules of oxygen.
in order to satisfy law of conservation of mass we will multiply Al on LHS by 4.

hence the equation is balanced.

thanks !!
good life !!

ur answer goes like this
Al+O2-->Al2O
oxygen is not balanced so add 2 coefficient on RHS
Al+O2-->2Al2O
again aluminium Nd oxygen on LHS r not balanced
4Al+3O2->2Al203
this is ur answer u can Check it as follows

LHS:- Al:-4. RHS :-Al:-4
LHS:-0:-6 RHS:-O:-6.
hope it helps u:-)
