Born : 1809 in Northern Kentucky
Family : Father wealthy farmer lost his land when Lincoln was 7, moved to Indian 9, Mother died when he was
nine, family moved to Illinois soon.
Political career: began early – served in state Legislature, in the House of Representatives. Gifted speaker,
speeches against slavery, nomination for presidency – won in 1860 Re-elected in 1864.
Death : assassinated by John Wilks Booth on April 15, 1865. Remembered for wisdom, compassion and
patriotism.

Abraham Lincoln was born in the year of 1809 in Northern Kentucky. His father was rich person with some considerable lands but unfortunately he lost his land when Lincoln was only 6 Then his family moved to India and then his mother died when he was 9.There again his family moved to Illinois
Speaking about the political career of Lincoln he was a lawyer who started serving in state legislature from the early go, he was a gifted speaker and he had remarkable speeches on abolition of slavery.This made him famous and then he condested for US Presidency.
He won that in 1860 and got Re-elected in 1864.
His career came to an end when he was assassinated by John wilks
