1. Boojho ,Paheli and their friend Golu were provided with a test tube each containing Litmus solution which was purple in colour. Boojho added two drops of solution ‘A’ in his test tube and got red colour. Paheli added two drops of solution ‘B’ to her test tube and got blue colour. Golu added two drops of solutions ‘C’ but could not get any change in colour. What would be the possible reason for the variations? Also identify solution A, B & C. Answer: Because Boojho was having acidic solution,Paheli was having basic solution and golu was having neutral solution.

Explanation: Acid turns litmus red (Bhoojho case)

                       Base turn litmus blue(Paheli case)

Neutral solution doesnot have any effect on litmus (Golu case)
