To find out if the first two statements are true then the third statement will be true or false.

Solution:

Let marked price on jeans  for Brand A is P.

As given the marked price on jeans for Brand B will be P.

Sellling price for two pairs of jeans for Brand A =4P

Sellling price for two pairs of jeans for Brand A after 50% discount =4P-4P\times\frac{50}{100}

= 4P(\frac{100-50}{100} )

=4P\times0.5

Sellling price for two pairs of jeans for Brand B =4P

Sellling price for two pairs of jeans for Brand A after 70% discount=4P-4P\times\frac{70}{100}

= 4P(\frac{100-70}{100} )                                

 =4P\times0.3

Sellling price for two pairs of jeans for Brand A after 70% discount is less than  Sellling price for two pairs of jeans for Brand A after 50% discount.

Hence , Jeans of brand B will be cheaper.

Thus, If the first two statements are true then the third statement  will be also true.
