After 5 hours bubli starts from the same point and

To find:

Distance ran by bunty before getting caught by Bubli ?

Calculation:

So, the initial separation between Bunty and Bubli before Bubli starts running be denoted as d:

 \therefore \: d = 20 \times 5

 =  >  \: d = 100 \: km

Now , when bubli catches bunty , the position of both these people is same.

 \therefore \: d +  d_{(bunty)} =  d_{(bubli)}

 =  >  \: d + 20t= 40t

 =  >  \: 100+ 20t= 40t

 =  >  \: 20t = 100

 =  >  \: t = 5 \: hours

So, distance travelled by bunty in this time:

 d_{bunty} = 20 \times 5 = 100 \: km

So, Total distance travelled by bunty before getting caught is:

 \boxed{ d_{total} = 100 + 100 = 200 \: km}
