=> Number of students,above average= 48×1/6
=> Total above average students = 8

Since 1/4 of the class students are average,
=> Total average students = 48×1/4
=> Total average students = 12

So the number of average students and above average students = 12 + 8 = 20

So below average students = Total students - 20
