Given, W=5eV=5×(1.6×10 ^−19 )J=8.0×10 ^19 J

KE=E1−W=9.945×10 ^−19−8.0×10 ^−19

=1.945×10 ^−19 J

Now, Kinetic energy of the electron, KE=1/2mv ^

v=[2KE/m] ^1/2

v=[2(1.195×10 ^-19)/9.1×10^-31]^1/2

= 6.54× 10^2 m/s
